Strickland should look for a job somewhere else

I’m concerned that Supervisor Linda Parks may be challenged for reelection by Audra Strickland.

It appears Ms. Strickland is a career politician who’s expressed interest in running for the next most convenient office available—first secretary of state, then county treasurer-tax collector and now supervisor. She doesn’t even live in the district.

I’m a strong supporter of our current supervisor, Linda Parks. Her accomplishments are many. I’m thankful for her 16-year effort resulting in the creation of a new state park rather than development at Ahmanson Ranch and for the estimated 45,000 vehicle trips saved on the 101 Freeway each and every day. That’s 10 minutes less driving time to downtown L.A. every day, each way.

I’m thankful for her successful push for the funds to widen the 23 Freeway without any new taxes.

I’m thankful for her voting for increased police services, faster ambulance response times and her support for our firefighters.

I hope Ms. Strickland is successful in finding some worthy position other than that of 2nd District Ventura County supervisor.
