GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ON SALE NOW–Conejo Elementary School first-grader Ella Boring, 6, and her mom, Alison, display their  first-place  winning  Girl  Scout  cookie  creation “Banana Do Si Do Crisp,” which they made for  the mother-daughter bake-off contest during the Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast  inaugural  Cookie  Rally  and  Bake  Off  at  California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. Last Saturday’s event was  also  a  contest  for  area  chefs,  who  created  specialty desserts using Girl Scout cookies as a main ingredient. Melting Pot restaurant’s Liz Beddow was the winner.
