I’ve never had the experience of being yelled at by Lori Walton at the intersection of Flores and Lynn Road (Dec. 17 letters, “Pedestrians at risk in Thousand Oaks”), but I am familiar with the intersection.

I’m also familiar with the intersection at Avenida de Los Arboles and Lynn. Apparently, others, too, have been concerned for the safety of the schoolchildren crossing Lynn Road, and thus a school crossing guard has been hired to help protect kids from the traffic.

That guard is one block north of Flores on Avenida de Los Arboles. Prudent, responsible parents who truly care about their children’s safety are taking advantage of the services of that crossing guard instead of choosing to yell at motorists.
