Epiphany church offers musical Christmas Eve service to public

Eucharist in sanctuary performed with soloists, traditional carols, strings

The Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal) will offer three Christmas Eve services tonight, Dec. 24, in the church sanctuary at 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park. The public is welcome.

The schedule is as follows:

4 p.m., family-oriented Holy Eucharist service with soloists.

7 p.m., festival choral Eucharist led by the Choristers with strings, traditional carols and John Rutter’s “Angels’ Carol.”

10 p.m., festival choral Eucharist with the parish choir, schola, strings, traditional carols, Mozart’s “Spatzenmesse” (“Sparrow Mass”), Carl Schalk’s “Before the Marvel of This Night” and Peter Warlock’s “Bethlehem Down.”
