Library recital to feature harpsichord

Lillian Gordis will present a harpsichord recital at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 3 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

Gordis’ repertoire includes both early and more contemporary works.

Gordis has played the harpsichord since she was 9 years old. She has studied with Katherine Roberts Perl in San Francisco and Arthur Haas in New York. 

She recently attended the Academie de Musique Ancienne en Basse-Normandie in Lisieux, France, where she studied with Elisabeth Joyé, François Guerrier and Aurélien Delage, and Pierre Hantaï. She presented a recital at the Archives Nationales as a part of the series Jeunes Talents in November 2009.

No reservations are required for the free event, but seating is limited.
