Spa helps breast cancer fund with $4,500 donation

In Touch Massage and Day Spa recently donated $4,500 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The funds were raised last month at the spa’s inaugural Crop for the Cure event, which increased awareness about breast cancer, honored those affected by the disease and raised money.

Spa owner Shannah Tenner created a scrap-athon for the event. Each participant received 12 hours of scrapbooking, brunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, dessert and gift bags with more than $75 worth of spa gifts and scrapbooking supplies. Numerous door prizes were awarded.

The event also included chair massages, pedicures and wine tastings.

In Touch is inside the Spectrum Club in Thousand Oaks. For information, call (805) 778-1771 or visit the website at www.InTouchDaySpa.net.
