Tree lot benefits NPHS baseball
The Newbury Park High School baseball program will host its 15th annual Christmas Tree Lot fundraiser, selling 500 trees through Sun., Dec. 20 at the Newbury Park Library parking lot at Borchard Road and Michael Drive.
Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Douglas firs will be available at 4 to 5 feet for $20 and 10 to 11 feet for $85.
Nobles will be available at 2 to 4 feet for $30 or 10 to 11 feet for $190.
The baseball players will take part in tree sales, customer assistance, lot maintenance, stocking and watering trees, and assisting the tree surgeon.
Senior players with a driver’s license will deliver trees to customers’ residences or places of business.
All proceeds benefit the Newbury Park High School baseball program. This year, the tree lot is also running a food drive for Manna of Conejo Valley. Donations of nonperishable food and monetary donations will be collected at the lot during hours of operation.
