Sculptors featured in art exhibit
The Arts Council of the Conejo Valley’s exhibit Sculpture on the Hill II will continue through Sun., Dec. 13 in the Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
A holiday party and closing artists’ reception will be open to the public from 6 to 8 p.m. Sun., Dec. 13. The party is free except for a contribution of food for the Manna food pantry.
The exhibit includes sculptures of cast bronze, carved wood, ironworks and welded steel, fused glass, stone and assemblage. The artists have a wide range of interpretation, with styles ranging from classical realism to contemporary abstraction. Some sculptures have been created from found objects and recycled materials.
The sculptors are Bob Privitt, Janice McGinnis, Donna Mason, Dawn Feeney, Gary Raymond, Janet Amiri, Theodora Ilowitz, Shannon Lundberg, De Lesprie, Alistair Stevenson, Kathrin RaabQuestenberg, John Storojev, Richard Scarborough, Fran Elson, Tesi Sanchez Halpert and Paul Lucchesi.
The show’s co-curators are Janet Amiri and Connie Tunick.
The show can be viewed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
