•Navy Seaman Amber M. MaClean recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. She is the daughter of Betty Summers of Thousand Oaks and a 2000 graduate of Newbury Park High School. MaClean graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2005 from UCLA.

•Army Pfc. Paul Bock has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the nephew of Barbara Bock of Thousand Oaks.
