Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride the American Eagle Express train into Janss Marketplace to officially launch the holiday season at noon Fri., Nov. 27 at the shopping center at Hillcrest Drive and Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Musicians will play live holiday jazz music while children take a free ride on the American Eagle Express train, make a free holiday craft keepsake and talk to Santa.

Families that bring Janss Marketplace receipts dated Nov. 27 which total at least $50 to the Santa House by 3 p.m. can receive a free photo with Santa. Photos can also be purchased for $10. Santa will be at the marketplace through Dec. 24.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will launch the Toys for Tots drive on Nov. 27. Customers can donate unwrapped, new toys for children in need through Christmas Eve at special boxes at Toys R Us, Buca di Beppo, Rubio’s, GodSpace and United Studios of Self Defense.
