Children’s Christmas story to be staged
Trinity Pacific Christian School will present the holiday play “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” at the Theatre on the Hill, Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 27, 28, 29 and 30 and Dec. 2 and 3. Matinees are 3 p.m. Nov. 28 and 29.
The play, based on the classic children’s book, tells the story of a church’s annual Christmas pageant that takes an unexpected turn when it is invaded by the Herdmans—the meanest, absolutely worst kids in town. They lie and steal and smoke cigars— even the girls. However, what seems destined for disaster turns out to be the best Christmas pageant ever as the Herdmans unwittingly help the congregation understand the true meaning of Christmas.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. shows on Nov. 27, 28 and 29 are $12.50. All other shows are $11. Children ages 3 and under do not need a ticket if they sit on a lap.
Tickets can be purchased in person from the theater box office, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, by calling (805) 381-1246 or online at www.hillcrestarts.com.
