The Conejo Valley YMCA will host the fifth annual Turkey Day Dash on Thanksgiving Day, Thurs., Nov. 26, at a new location, the new outdoor expansion area of The Oaks mall, 350 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Professional timing is provided for 5K runners.

The 1K family fun run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. The 5K run/ walk starts at 8:30 a.m. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m.

More than 1,400 runners and families traditionally attend the Turkey Day Dash. To avoid long race-day registration lines, participants can pick up T-shirts and timing chips from noon to 6 p.m. Wed., Nov. 25 at Road Runner Sports, 1714 Newbury Road, Newbury Park. Proceeds from the run will benefit Conejo Valley YMCA youth and senior programs. The cost is $25 preregistration until Nov. 22 and $30 on race day. The family rate is $60 preregistration and $70 on race day for immediate family members only. All participants receive a Turkey Day Dash YMCA T-shirt.
