Newbury Park High’s baseball program will hold its inaugural Black and Gold game on Saturday.

It will be the first time that all three levels of the baseball program will take the field together for a friendly competition.

The first three innings will pit the freshman Black squad against the Gold; the second three innings will be the JV Black vs. JV Gold; and the final three innings will have the varsity Black team going toe-to-toe with the varsity Gold squad.

At 11:30 a.m., there will be a home-run hitting contest featuring the top four varsity sluggers. The game takes place on the NPHS varsity field at noon.

The school’s new snack stand will be open, and the Mizuno Baseball truck will be on site with the latest equipment for sale.
