Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park A male, 51, was arrested on charges of stealing a vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and being involved in a hit-and-run collision at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Lynn Road and Fowler Avenue. A male, 48, was arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 23 at Lynn Road and Wendy Drive. The subject also allegedly kicked a door in an interview room at East Valley Sheriff’s Station and was charged with vandalism. A female, 39, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine at 3:44 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 49, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 600 block of Avenida de la Plata. A male, 31, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a beer, drinking it in the bathroom and threatening to fight a Ralphs supermarket employee at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 28 on N. Ventu Park Road. A male, 24, allegedly drove his white Ford Mustang 62 mph in a 25mph school zone with children present at 7:55 a.m. Oct. 16 southbound of Reino Road at Cabrillo Avenue. A 67-year-old male vagrant was arrested and charged with aggressively asking customers for money at the In-N-Out Burger on Newbury Road around 12:20 p.m. Oct. 20. A male, 43, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road. A male, 18, allegedly committed petty theft around 6:45 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road. A female, 21, was arrested and charged with stealing property valued at $11 at 4 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road. A vandal drove an off-road vehicle over a model plane on Oct. 23 or 24 in the open space northwest of Conejo Adventist Academy. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 100 block of Silas Avenue (unlocked); between Oct. 23 and 26 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court; and between 5:30 and 6 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court (unsecured). A vandal caused $2,000 in damage to a vehicle between Oct. 26 and 28 in the 100 block of Acacia Road. A vehicle was also damaged in the 200 block of Acacia Court on Oct. 27 or 28. Two vehicles were keyed ($5,000 total damage) on Oct. 27 or 28 in the 400 block of Helga Court. Other vehicles were vandalized on the same block on Oct. 27 or 28. Multiple vehicles at three locations in the 200 block of Acacia Road were vandalized on Oct. 27 or 28. Almost $2,000 in jewelry was stolen between 2 and 6:35 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 700 block of Westover Place. Two leaf blowers were stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 10 and 10:14 a.m. Oct. 29 in the first block of Lupe Avenue. A vandal poured paint on a driveway Oct. 19 or 20 in the 900 block of Pons Court. Property was stolen from a locked storage unit between Oct. 23 and 26 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court. Thieves stole more than $400 in goods from CVS pharmacy on N. Reino Road between 7:40 and 8 p.m. Oct. 25. Threatening phone calls were made between 7:40 and 9:40 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 1700 block of Hays Drive. Grand theft (more than $400 loss) occurred on Oct. 27 or 28 in the 200 block of Heavenly Valley Road. Petty theft involving a loss of $300 occurred on Oct. 19 or 20 in the 400 block of Avenida de la Plata. A male, 26, was cited for soliciting without a permit at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 500 block of Firecrest Court. Thousand Oaks A male, 25, masturbated while walking naked between the 800 and 1400 blocks of Thousand Oaks Boulevard around 4 p.m. Oct. 28. Eight people witnessed the act and were offended by what they saw. The man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure. A male, 28, was arrested and charged with exposing himself in public at 6:15 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla. The subject was reportedly under the influence of a controlled substance and possessed a fraudulent Social Security card. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 45, at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 30 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Moorpark Road (subject was allegedly involved in a traffic accident); a male, 26, at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 300 block of Arcturus Street; a male, 37, at 11:45 p.m. Oct. 26 at Hillcrest Drive and Erbes Road; a male, 38, at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (subject was involved in a traffic accident at Lynn and Ventu Park roads); and a male, 29, at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 25 along Erbes Road (subject was involved in a noninjury accident). On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 38, at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road; a male, 47, at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road; a female, 49, at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 1800 block of Los Feliz Drive; and a male, 43, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 1400 block of Kirk Avenue. A female, 33, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and being under the influence of a controlled substance at 1:52 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road. A female, 52, was arrested on charges of elder abuse and defrauding a person over the age of 65 at 9:25 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive. A male, 34, allegedly battered and injured his live-in girlfriend at 7:25 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 600 block of Hampshire Road. A female, 35, at the scene was charged with the same violation. A female, 40, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 1200 block of Kirkford Avenue. A male, 38, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 3:10 a.m. Oct. 25 in the 700 block of Glen Oaks Drive. A male, 18, was arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle at 12:54 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 100 block of W. Carlisle Canyon Road. A female, 33, allegedly possessed a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe in her bedroom around 9 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 2500 block of Vistawood Circle. On suspicion of stealing property and possessing a controlled substance, a male, 46, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 3500 block of Willow Lane. Two 28-year-old males were arrested on charges of burglary, passing a fictitious check, grand theft and conspiracy at 4:35 p.m. Oct. 28 in the first block of N. Moorpark Road. A female, 23, reportedly attempted to deposit and immediately withdraw a fraudulent $400 check at Citibank on N. Moorpark Road around 3 p.m. Oct. 28. A male, 26, was cited for allegedly shoplifting and possessing burglary tools at 8:59 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A female, 19, was cited for alleged petty theft at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 32, was arrested and charged with lying to police about his identity at 3 p.m. Oct. 23 at Calle Tulipan and Avenida de Las Plantas. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 1:30 and 2:20 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 900 block of Broadbeck Drive; between Oct. 18 and 20 in the 1200 block of S. Westlake Boulevard; between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 23 near Foothill Drive and Hampshire Road; and between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 900 block of Evenstar Avenue (window smashed). Vehicle tires were slashed and the body was scratched ($5,000 damage) on Oct. 28 or 29 in the 2900 block of Salmon River Circle. Vehicle parts valued at $650 were stolen between Aug. 1 and Oct. 27, and the crime was reported at East Valley Sheriff’s Station on Oct. 27. A vehicle was damaged between 3:10 and 3:15 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 2400 block of Whitechapel Place. Bricks were thrown at a vehicle between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 600 block of Calle Tulipan. A truck was stolen and abandoned a short distance away between 1 and 3:18 p.m. Oct. 28 near the 1500 block of Wynnefield Avenue. More than $400 in landscaping equipment was stolen. A locked bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at McDonald’s restaurant on N. Moorpark Road on Oct. 23 or 24. Grand theft occurred between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 1900 block of Los Feliz Drive. A $350 glass door and window were broken between Oct. 13 and 28 in the 100 block of Hunt Court. Business property valued at $3,620 was stolen and damaged on Oct. 27 or 28 in the 3100 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Shoplifting occurred at Vons on N. Moorpark Road between 5:47 and 6 p.m. Oct. 21. Another shoplifter struck between 5:20 and 5:33 p.m. Oct. 23. Vandals broke the cover of a marquee at First Baptist Church and removed letters from the sign on Oct. 23 or 24 in the 1200 block of N. Erbes Road. The damage estimate was $500. A burglary occurred on Oct. 26 or 27 in the 2100 block of Lynn Road. A home was burglarized between 10 and 11 a.m. Oct. 27 in the first block of Mayflower Street. For allegedly selling food and drinks from a pushcart without a permit, a male, 44, was cited at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public: A male, 53, at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 28 at Avenida de Las Flores and Calle Jazmin; a male, 38, at 12:05 p.m. Oct. 23 at Eveningside Drive and Woodside Drive; and a male, 20, at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 23 at Avenida de Las Plantas and Calle Pensamiento.
