T.O. man wins grand jury distinction

Jerry Lewi of Thousand Oaks was awarded the Angelo Rolando award from the California Grand Jurors’ Association at the group’s annual conference at Sacramento in October.

The award is given annually for outstanding service to the association. Lewi was recognized for his leadership in grand jury affairs at both county and state levels and his service in training new grand jurors.

Lewi served on the Ventura County grand jury from July 1998 to June 1999, where he chaired several committees.

Since joining the association after completion of his grand jury service, Lewi has served as chair, operations, vice president and president. He now serves as chair of public relations and editor of the association’s newsletter. He is also chairing this year’s annual conference.

Lewi is a 30-year resident of the Conejo Valley.
