Southern California Edison will present a free, nontechnical session for residential customers about the California Solar Initiative program and the incentives it offers to homeowners who “go solar.”

The program will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 12 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

Customers will learn about olar energy basics, the benefits of installing a solar energy system, tax credits and other financial models that can help reduce upfront costs, and financial incentives through the CSI program.
