Bambi in the ’burbs

THE BUCK STOPS HERE—Jef Kurfess says he has seen this same buck visiting his neighbor’s home on Highgate Road several times. The deer has been most efficient at keeping the garden roses trimmed. This time, it looks like he had to come in even closer to finish his snack with a little drink from the water bucket. Kerfess reports seeing raccoons, opossums and some band-tail pigeons in the same neighborhood, which is in the Westlake Village portion of Thousand Oaks.
