The Acorn’s High School Football Game of the Week
Thousand Oaks Lancers (4-3) at Moorpark Musketeers (7-0) Friday, 7 p.m.
     The Lancers keep gaining momentum—and confidence. On Friday night, they will face their toughest foe yet. Thousand Oaks High’s football team has won four of five games entering the matchup at undefeated Marmonte League heavyweight Moorpark. Nothing will be easy, but TOHS head coach Mike Leibin is happy his squad is healthy.

Local runners shine at Mt. SAC
      Sara Pearson of La Reina nabbed first place during the girls’ Division IV cross country team sweepstakes race at the Mt. San Antonio College Invitational last weekend. Pearson won the 2.91-mile race in 18 minutes, 27 seconds— nine seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
