Poker tournament to feature dinner, auction and prizes

The Newbury Park High School Football Boosters will host a Texas Hold ’em poker tournament on Sat., Nov. 7 at the Thousand Oaks Inn, 75 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner, cash bar and silent auction. The tournament will be played from 6 to 11:30 p.m.

Some of the grand prizes include a seat at the Central Coast Tournament with a one-night stay at the Chumash resort, a trip to Hawaii and a round of golf for four at Spanish Hills Country Club. 

The $75 ticket includes a buffet dinner and buy-in to the tournament. Players can buy-in again for $50 in the first hour. Blackjack tables with professional dealers will also be available for a $45 buy-in, which includes dinner and $20 in Funny Money.

Proceeds will benefit the NPHS football program.
