‘Kiss of death’ was a figure of speech, nothing more

The “kiss of death” is in bad taste? I don’t think any political assassination started because of a widely used phrase.

If one were to worry about Obama and his administration, it would have to be because of the way they’ve run roughshod over our rights of free speech and assembly and our right to a free press. Obama and his administration have lashed out at anyone disagreeing with the president, calling us (I’m including myself because I don’t agree with him) paid rabble rousers, crackpots, misinformed country bumpkins, and Nazis, among other names.

They’ve labeled Fox News Network a non-news station that’s opinionated and only concerned with profits.

Since this is a capitalist country, I thought profits are the end to which we all aspire.

Obama’s administration has made statements that they would “go after” anyone not agreeing with them.

This administration has had no game plan since Obama took office. They gave out billions of dollars with no guidelines for accountability. They have no game plan for the war in Afghanistan.

But while the troops over there need support, Obama is too busy campaigning for other Democrats and trying to push his healthcare reform through, rather than make a decision that might help our troops survive in a war he campaigned to support.

Maybe Obama is more worried about his political survival than the survival of our troops. I’m beginning to think he’s the worst president we’ve ever seen.

Kiss of death? No, phrases won’t hurt him. Gordon Hayes Thousand Oaks
