Acorn should have covered the healthcare forum

Healthcare forums are information, and your publication should be involved in reporting these.

Healthcare is nonpartisan and affects all citizens of the county. Absolutely a financial concern to all. Regardless of politics all points of view are valid, certainly not shared by all, yet knowledge is power, and we all have a responsibility to hear “all” to make our own decisions based on the information.

Closing ears and eyes and not covering these forums helps no one; therefore, I hope that the policy at the Acorn will change and your future presence be noted.

The Simi Valley Acorn promoted a memorial for 25 Metrolink train victims, where the proper place for remembrance is called a “graveyard.”

Those families will sadly never overcome the tragedy, but the memorial at the train platform is just a waste of taxpayer money; somehow your paper deemed that to be more important than covering issues of the living. Richard Nimms Simi Valley
