The city of Thousand Oaks will offer the following free workshops on composting.

•Introduction to Composting Workshop will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Conejo Community Park, Picnic Area No. 1, Thousand Oaks. Enter at 350 W. Gainsborough Road on Jeaunine Drive.

Master Composter Eric Werbalowsky will demonstrate how to get started with backyard composting.

•The Advanced Composting and Organic Gardening Workshop will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Las Flores Community Garden, 1300 E. Avenida de Las Flores, Thousand Oaks.

Werbalowsky will discuss advanced composting techniques and other eco-home and organic gardening ideas.
