With 129,000 children in foster care, Children’s Bureau is seeking caring families to consider adoption. The agency will host an information meeting for those interested in learning more from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tues., Oct. 27 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

Children’s Bureau has finalized more than 1,000 adoptions for families across six counties in Southern California. Single or married individuals, teachers, retired persons and anyone interested in helping at-risk children are encouraged to contact Children’s Bureau.

Qualifying families receive training, certification, benefits which include medical for the children and 24-hour support.
