Trustees should approve Bridges
Wouldn’t it be great if junior high kids could attend school where collaboration and innovation were part of the day?
Wouldn’t it be amazing if our junior high kids could be stimulated intellectually while at the same time feeling safe in a loving and nurturing environment with teachers they have known since kindergarten?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our teenagers’ afternoons were spent learning or perfecting a musical instrument or working at the food bank instead of being saddled with hours upon hours of homework?
Bridges Charter School is the place where I want my kids!
I wholeheartedly support Bridges Charter School, a new K8 school for families desiring a truly progressive education for their children.
I’m discouraged by the lack of middle school choices and alternative programs in the Conejo Valley Unified School District and am excited by the opportunity to support a school that would allow options for middle school children. The vision and mission of Bridges Charter School commits to a philosophy of whole child education which starts in kindergarten and extends through eighth grade, providing adolescent children continuity and consistency at a time when their changing bodies and psyches most need it.
I believe that this approach, coupled with the school’s creative and innovative teaching, can best prepare our children for high school and the world beyond.
