Rotary Street Fair comes to town Sunday
The 18th annual Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 18 on a three-block section of Moorpark Road between Hillcrest Drive and Wilbur Road, Thousand Oaks.
Hundreds of booths will line the street with a variety of merchandise and food for sale and local information. Two performance stages will present live music, singing and dancing. Children will have a large play area.
Last year’s event drew more than 35,000 visitors.
The street fair is one of four major events the Rotary club uses to raise money for local high school student scholarships and to support charitable contributions throughout the community. Funds raised go to provide mammograms for low-income women, Manna Food Bank, the YMCA, Boy and Girl Scouts, programs for seniors and other causes.
