Make-A-Wish events to help catastrophically ill kids
Make-A-Wish Foundation is participating in these events:
•The Sparky Anderson Charity Hearts Tournament will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wed., Oct. 21 at Kendall Banquet Center at Los Robles Greens, Thousand Oaks.
The event will have hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar at 5 p.m. Play begins at 6:30 p.m. A light buffet will be provided, and trophies will be presented after play is completed.

•Croptoberfest will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 24 at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 2475 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.
This is Creative Memories’ biggest scrapbooking event, where people gather to crop and celebrate storytelling through traditional and digital scrapbooking.
The $35 fee includes a catered lunch. Make and Take will cost $2.
