Outlook: This game has lost some of its luster, with Long Beach Jordan limping into town with three consecutive defeats.

Oaks Christian has six regular-season games remaining, and the nationally-ranked Lions might not be challenged in any of the upcoming contests.

The Tri-Valley League, as a whole, is down a bit, with only OCHS and Nordhoff posing winning records thus far.

With St. Bonaventure losing last weekend, things set up very nicely for Oaks Christian as the Lions march toward a possible CIF state bowl bid.

Head coach Bill Redell and his staff, of course, won’t let the OCHS players look that far ahead.

Simi Valley (0-4) at Thousand Oaks (1-3)

Outlook: It’s time for Thousand Oaks to right the ship, and a matchup with struggling Simi Valley appears to be the perfect remedy for what’s ailing T.O.

The Lancers have played better than their 1-3 record would indicate. Head coach Mike Leibin and the Lancers, however, aren’t into moral victories.

With a slew of new starters, Thousand Oaks’ defense is allowing 34.3 points per game and hasn’t held any opponent under 27 points all season.

Those types of results have put a lot of pressure on the offense to produce points on every drive. For the most part, the Lancer offense has responded—they’re averaging 30.5 points per contest.
