Ladies and their lap dogs join others to help Wellness

PUTTING ON THE DOG—The Paws 4 Hope Charity Dog Walk at Berniece Bennet Park in the city of Westlake Village inspired Thousand Oaks residents Sandy Palmer, above left, and Vivian Fleury and Newbury Park resident Shawnaa Kasper to dress up their dogs—Cookie, Jack, Angie, Pancho, Angel and Bruno—to support The Wellness Community. At right, Newbury Park resident Dorothy Broadway, left, and neighbor Bridget Ackerman, 6, a first-grader at Aspen Elementary School, walk Coly, a 4-year-old schipperke. Coly shared the top spot at last Sunday’s event as the best costumed dog.
