Senior Concerns board elects new chair

Robert C. Shaw of Camarillo has been elected chair of the board of directors of Senior Concerns, a nonprofit social service agency that provides quality-of-life services for aging seniors and their caregivers in Ventura and western Los Angeles counties.

Shaw has been a member of the volunteer Senior Concerns board since 2006 and has also served as vice chair of finance. As chair he succeeds Linda St. Clair, who has retired from Senior Concerns.

Shaw is the chief executive officer of Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital.

In a previous position he was president and chief executive officer of Los Robles Regional Medical Center.

He has a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Cornell University.

Additionally, board member Ann Eklunk of Thousand Oaks has been elected to vice chair of the organizations’ strategic planning, Andrea Gallagher of Westlake Village to vice chair of resource development and Scott Polzin of Woodland Hills to vice chair of finance.
