Villa Esperanza gets new director
Charles Bloomquist
Villa Esperanza Services recently hired Thousand Oaks resident Charles Bloomquist as director of the West Region.
Bloomquist will oversee Ventura County programs that serve adults with developmental disabilities: employment services, integrated work program, adult residential and independent living skills. Bloomquist has worked in the field for 15 years and is an advocate for maximizing independence for people with developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome and autism.
Bloomquist has a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from the University of LaVerne. He lives in Thousand Oaks with his wife and five children.
Bloomquist is also president of the Rotary Club of Van Nuys.
Villa Esperanza is a nonprofit organization serving individuals challenged by autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities. The organization has offices in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village.
