T.O. accepting applications for community grants
The city of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department is accepting applications for the 200910 Community Enhancement Grant Program.
The program provides grants for nonprofit community and school groups, such as clubs and booster organizations, to raise funds to support group activities. In turn, the groups volunteer for a community beautification project, such as tree planting, mulching, weed abatement, litter collection or similar environmentrelated activity.
A total of $45,000 is available in grant awards.
Organizations must be in Thousand Oaks, with at least 80 percent of their members or participants residing within city boundaries.
Application forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. Fri., Oct. 30. Forms and guidelines are available atĀ www.toaks.org.
Applications may also be picked up at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road; Newbury Park Branch Library, 2331 Borchard Road, and the Public Works Department at Thousand Oaks City Hall, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.
