Starting Monday, smokers will get a chance to kick the habit

Ventura County Public Health will present free stopsmoking classes and nicotine replacement therapy products from 11 a.m. to noon and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, starting Oct. 5 at the Conejo Free Clinic, 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Ste. 101, Thousand Oaks.

The last day to join is Oct. 12.

The program will discuss smoking urges, stress and moods, weight and exercise, handling slips, lifestyle balance and life without cigarettes.

The classes are funded by tobacco settlement dollars through the Ventura County Public Health Tobacco Education and Prevention Program.
