Mary Jane Seebach The Miller Family YMCA, serving Newbury Park, has added two new members to its board of managers. Members serve three-year terms.

New board member Mary Jane Seebach is an attorney with expertise in public policy.

A 10-year Newbury Park resident, she became involved with the YMCA when her sons joined the Indian Guide and Trailblazer programs. Seebach has been a member of the Miller Family YMCA since it opened in June 2007.

Board member Julie Nerland has been teaching preschool and elementary school for 20 years. She is the mother of three girls and became active with the YMCA in Vacaville when her children took swim lessons. When her family relocated to Newbury Park, she joined the Miller YMCA’s group fitness classes and became interested in helping launch the Y’s preschool program.

Nerland is the PTA president at Sycamore Canyon Elementary School in Dos Vientos.
