Author will autograph Buckley book at library

ial Foundation will host Richard Brookhiser for a lecture and sign
ng of his latest book, “Right Time, Right Place: Coming of Age with William F. Buckley Jr. and the Conservative Movement,” at 1 p.m. Mon., Oct. 5 at the Reagan Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.
The book is a portrait of Buckley, a 40-year slice of intellectual and political life, and a portrait of a mentor/protégé relationship.
Brookhiser’s work has appeared in National Review , The At lantic Monthly and Cosmopolitan .
His first biography, “Founding Father: Rediscoverin George Washington,” was published in 1996.
Brookhiser was historian curator of “Alexander Hamilton: The Man Who Made Modern America,” an exhibition at The New-York Historical Society.
In 2005 Brookhiser was named a Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, by Washington College, and in 2008 was awarded the National Medal for the Humanities.
