Learn strategies for well-being
Local residents can learn strategies to instill health and well-being in their lives from California Health and Longevity Institute specialists during a complimentary wellness speaker series 7 p.m. Thursdays this fall at the institute inside the Four Seasons Hotel, Two Dole Drive, Westlake Village.
Before each presentation, attendees can meet specialists in medicine, nutrition, fitness and life balance from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tours will also be available.

•Stress and Its Impact on Your Health with Steven Tan, M.D., Oct. 8. Understand the science of why the body reacts to stress as it does and how to take charge of personal health and well-being by managing the impact of stress.
•The Power of Sleep with Siobhán Palmer, registered nurse, Oct. 22. Palmer explores the importance of sleep as it relates to healthy living, optimum performance and longevity. Understanding the obstacles that get in the way and examining strategies that promote a good night’s sleep will better equip individuals to engage in positive behavior change.
•Cardio Conditioning and Weight Management with Michael Brazeal, Nov. 5. Brazeal provides the tools to optimize circuit cardio training efforts and make personal fitness programs more fun. Understand how to affect body composition and energy balance to manage weight.
•Strategies for Healthy Eating with Paulette Lambert, registered dietician, Nov. 19. Lambert highlights the top 10 ways to increase longevity through nutrition.
