A forum on healthcare will take place at 7 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 1 at Calvary Chapel, 2697 Lavery Couirt, Ste. 10, Newbury Park.

The event is sponsored by Conejo Coalition for Responsible Government.

The forum is scheduled to include a panel of medical professionals and others on both sides of the healthcare reform debate. 

The purpose is to educate people about the options in Washington, D.C. and what other reforms have been proposed to the American healthcare system. 

The program will include a discussion of insurance options available and those that are needed.

Seats on the panel may still be available for professionals favoring government-run healthcare, and suggestions are welcome.

This forum is open to the public at no charge. This is a nonpartisan event.

No signs or clothing displaying a point of view will be admitted. 

Security will be provided.
