Benefit party will help young musicians

The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic and Keyboard Concepts Superstore in Agoura Hills will sponsor a benefit auction party at 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 26 at the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic Recital Hall, 3479 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., in the Paseo Marketplace.

The event will feature a live auction of a Schimmel Konzert grand piano and silent auction of designer clothing, accessories, decorative pieces, art, and kitchen and dining accoutrements. Activities will include live musical entertainment, food and beverages.

Admission to the event is free. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Philharmonic, which provides performance opportunities to young musicians.

The Schimmel Konzert auction will be active on eBay through Sept. 26, with final bidding taking place during the event.

The grand piano is a model 256, measuring 8 feet, 4 inches and finished in high-polished ebony. An adjustable bench is included. Delivery and initial tuning are included in the auction bid price. All Schimmel pianos are handcrafted in Germany.
