Volunteers needed to implement senior master plan
The Senior Adult Master Plan is now completed and ready for implementation.
The Thousand Oaks Council on Aging is developing a strategic plan to determine priorities in the areas of housing, transportation, recreation, health, general assistance and volunteerism. Members of the commission request the assistance of seniors and community members.
Anyone interested who is able to attend meetings regularly during the next 10 months is invited to breakfast at the first planning meeting, 8:30 a.m. Tues., Oct. 6.
Subcommittees will be formed and volunteers assigned according to their knowledge, experience and preference. Subcommittees will work in the community with businesses, service organizations and senior facilities.
For information, meeting location and to RSVP for the breakfast, contact Francine Sprigel at (805) 4492743 or councilonaging@toaks.org.
