Thousand Oaks resident Julie Brody, 25, suffered serious injuries after allegedly losing control of her 2004 Land Rover while driving westbound on Olsen Road near Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.

The single-vehicle accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 11.

“Mrs. Brody suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported via ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Thousand Oaks, for treatment,” Senior Dep. Rick Godfrey said.

Brody is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Los Robles, hospital spokesperson Kris Carraway-Bowman said on Monday.

The Thousand Oaks Police Department is continuing to investigate the accident, traffic Sgt. Robert Fleming said.

“We’re still investigating, buit appears to be caused by speed. We’re looking into the possibility of driving under the influence also being a factor,” Fleming said—Nancy Needham
