Nelson Spruce, WR/S, Westlake: Doing his best Jerry Rice impression during a 48-26 wipeout of Paso Robles, Spruce, a junior, hauled in five receptions for 233 yards and four scores. His receiving yardage was a WHS singlegame record, breaking the previous mark of 210 yards set by Joey Cuppari in 1996. The four TD receptions tied a school record.
Malcolm Jones, RB/LB, Oaks Christian: The Lions’ highlytouted senior running back carried the ball 38 times for 277 yards and found pay dirt on three occasions as OCHS won at Alemany, 28-17.
Adrian Muguerza, LB, Westlake: The senior run-stuffer logged a team-high 10 tackles.
