Looking for a MATES mascot


NEW IDEAS–Sisters Billie, 6, left, and Mya Featherston, 8, work together to come up with a mascot for the new Meadows Arts and Technology Elementary School. They were at the recent MATES Back-to-School Bash and family orientation. Mya wanted a hippo to be the charter school’s mascot because it’s her favorite animal.
