St. Jude to host country fair on Sat. and Sun., Sept. 19, 20

St. Jude Catholic Church presents the annual Country Time Faire fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sat., Sept. 19 and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sun., Sept 20 in central Westlake Village adjacent to the lake.

The event will have carnival rides, live music and entertainment, line dance instruction on Saturday and square dancing on Sunday.

Food for sale will include pizza, Mexican food, Filipino food, hamburgers, hot dogs, candied apples, corn on the cob and sweets.

New this year will be the Western Saloon area hosting casino games for adults. Other activities are bingo, book sale and specialty vendors.

For the first time this year is Farmers Insurance’s free “Managing Information on Lost Kids” program for parents.

The raffle will give away a $4,000 grand prize. Second prize is a round of golf at the Sherwood Country Club for up to three people if accompanied by a member of the club. Third prize is a Four Seasons Westlake Getaway for two, a onenight vacation package.

A wide variety of prizes and silent auction items will be on display at the Market Place boutique booth.

Tickets for these prizes will be sold throughout the event, and winning tickets for all prizes will be drawn at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Entertainment Stage. Winners need not be present.

Raffle tickets are $30 for a book of 20 or $2 apiece. Tickets can be purchased at the pastoral office at 32032 W. Lindero Canyon Road or by calling the church at (818) 889-1279.

Carnival ride tickets can be purchased at the church in advance or at the fair.
