The Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Fri., Sept. 18 at Thousand Oaks Inn, 75 W. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The speaker will be Michael Ramirez, a senior editor and editorial cartoonist for Investor’s Business Daily . He received the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in both 1994 and 2008. 

Ramirez is a Lincoln Fellow and has won many major journalism awards, including the Sigma Delta Chi Award three times and the National Journalism Award. 

He has worked as the editorial cartoonist of the Los Angeles Times , the Commercial Appeal , and USA Today . His work is nationally syndicated in more than 450 newspapers around the world.

The book “Everyone Has the Right to My Opinion” is a collection of his cartoons.
