AYSO Region 9 will kick off its 40th Opening Day for the 2,200 boys and girls of Thousand Oaks and neighboring communities at 11 a.m. this Sat., Sept. 12, at the northwest corner of the Conejo Creek Soccer Fields, on the new turf closest to Janss Road to the north, and the new parking lot along the 23 Freeway to the west. 

The opening day ceremony will celebrate the opening of several additional soccer fields at Conejo Creek South.

The event will have a ceremonial kickoff for one of the VIP teams which will be playing on the new No. 1 field, brief remarks by representatives from AYSO and from Conejo Recreation and Park District, and recognition of several individuals and groups who have contributed to the club’s growth.
