FIRST DAY IN A BIG SCHOOL—Kindergartner Chloe Bland, 5, gets a snuggle from her mother, Amanda Bland, as they say goodbye for the rest of the afternoon at Conejo Unified’s Environmental Academy for Research Technology and earth Sciences (EARThS). The new magnet school opened for the fall semester last Thursday, as did all of the schools in the district.
