Newbury Park

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 25, at 10 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 4000 block of Barcelona Drive (subject allegedly possessed four syringes, two Xanax pills and an unknown orange pill); and a male, 21, at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 18 at Charlotte Road and Wendy Drive (subject possessed what was believed to be a controlled substance).

A male, 41, was allegedly drunk in public and unable care for his young child, who sustained injuries because of the subject’s intoxication. The subject was cited at 8 p.m. Aug. 23 Wendy and Michael drives.

A male, 22, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 400 block of Dena Street and charged with attempting to use a forged prescription to obtain medication from a pharmacy in the 2700 block of Teller Road.

On suspicion of stealing $198 in merchandise from Kohl’s on Newbury Road, a female, 23, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Aug. 25.

Someone stole property from locked offices between Aug. 21 and 23 in the 2400 block of Teller Road.

A female, 24, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 3:49 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 1900 block of Newbury Road.

A shoplifter stole merchandise from the CVS drugstore on Reino Road between 9:11 and 9:24 p.m. Aug. 22

For allegedly stealing water from a fire hydrant at Rotella Street and Erinlea Avenue, a male, 34, was cited at 9:10 a.m. Aug. 25.

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from a front yard between Aug. 13 and 15 in the 5000 block of Via Alamitos.

Gang graffiti was the cause of more than $400 in damage on Aug. 18 or 19 in the 1700 block of Calle Diamonte.

A male, 31, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 23 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla.

Grand theft occurred Aug. 15 or 16 in the 200 block of Hiram Avenue.

Property was vandalized around midnight on Aug. 25 in the 3500 block of Gloria Drive.

Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Aug. 19 or 20 in the 3300 block of Gerald Drive.

A vehicle was scratched between noon and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 700 block of Hunt Circle.

Thousand Oaks

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 47, at 12:21 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (vehicle crashed into a tree); a male, 33, at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 24 at Calle Jazmin and Avenida de Las Flores; a male, 20, at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 24 at Erbes and Pederson roads (vehicle crashed into a light pole); a male, 24, at 2:45 a.m. Aug. 23 at the northbound 101 Freeway and Rancho Road; a female, 39, at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 22 at Avenida de Las Flores and Moss Court (subject allegedly backed into a parked vehicle); a male, 19, at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 500 block of Moorpark Road; a male, 20, at 3:15 a.m. Aug. 22 at Rio Grande and Paloma circles; a male, 18, at 11:46 p.m. Aug. 20 on Calle Jazmin and Avenida de Las Flores (subject was allegedly involved in a traffic collision); a female, 23, at 2:54 a.m. Aug. 19 on Olsen Road, east of the southbound 23 Freeway; and a male, 28, at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at Moorpark Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A female, 33, was arrested and charged with injuring her 10yearold daughter at 5 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 300 block of Camino Manzanas.

A male, 37, was arrested for alleged cruelty to a child at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 1700 block of Orinda Court.

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 23, at 6 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 900 block of Warwick Avenue (subject allegedly possessed controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and a springloaded, double-edged knife); a male, 37, at 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Olsen Road and Calle Zocalo (subject allegedly possessed several syringes); a male, 21, at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 22 at Janss Road and Hendrix Avenue; a male, 33, at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue (subject allegedly possessed drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance); and a female, 38, on May 20 in the 1100 block of Calle Tulipan.

A male, 25, was arrested and charged with possession of a usable quantity of a substance believed to be heroin and a syringe at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 23 at Glenwood Park. The subject is alleged to have resisted arrest by grabbing an officer’s hands and using his weight to push the officer to the ground and at the jail, the subject brought heroin into a custody facility.

A male, 21, was cited for allegedly committing a battery at 8:45 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 100 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

An assailant battered and seriously injured someone on Aug. 4 in the 2400 block of Calle Retama. The crime was recently reported.

A female, 18, was cited for allegedly battering her boyfriend by slapping him on the face at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 100 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A male, 45, was arrested for an alleged auto theft at his workplace in North Hollywood on Aug. 25, a crime related to an incident that occurred in the 800 block of Calle Haya on Aug. 21.

For allegedly possessing a controlled substance, a male, 18, was cited at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 3300 block of Olive Grove Place.

A male, 22, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and extortion at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 2700 block of Los Robles Road.

On Aug. 22 or 23 at North Oak Hills Drive and Avenida Soledad, rear windows of three vehicles were shattered (an estimated $3,000 loss).

For allegedly possessing stolen video games from various Target stores—then selling the stolen games to GameStop for $5 to $10 each—a male, 18, was arrested Aug. 26 at East County Sheriff’s Station.

A male, 19, was arrested and charged with possessing stolen property at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive.

For allegedly providing false information to a police officer at the scene of a traffic accident, a male, 74, was cited at 3:09 p.m. Aug. 24 on the southbound 23 Freeway offramp at Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 20, was cited for alleged petty theft at East County Sheriff’s Station on Aug. 10. The crime occurred in the 300 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Somebody tried to steal an unlocked vehicle on Aug. 23 or 24 in the 300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (unlocked); on Aug. 8 or 9 in the 3600 block of Zenith Avenue (unlocked); between 6:15 and 7:35 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 800 block of Hampshire Road; on Aug. 24 or 25 in the 200 block of N. Conejo School Road (unlocked); on Aug. 24 or 25 in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road (unlocked); on Aug. 25 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road; between 7 and 9:55 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 1000 block of S. Westlake Boulevard (two vehicles); on Aug. 21 or 22 in the 200 block of Oak Leaf Drive (burglar also attempted to steal the vehicle); between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 1300 block of Avenida de Las Flores; on Aug. 22 or 23 in the 200 block of Erbes Road; (two vehicles); on Aug. 22 or 23 in the first block of Wales Drive (purse was stolen from unlocked vehicle); and between 7 and 11:15 a.m. Aug. 21 in the 200 block of Fairview Road.

Thieves attempted to damage and steal property from vehicles between 2:55 and 3:10 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 200 block of Erbes Road.

Someone’s identity was stolen in an attempt to open a credit account in that person’s name between March 1 and Aug. 12 in the 800 block of St. Charles Drive.

A burglar broke into a home through a window screen and stole property between 7:40 and 8:20 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 2400 block of Vista Wood Circle.

A shoplifter stole property from American Eagle Outfitters and Urban Outfitters at The Oaks mall between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Aug. 21. The subject used force to elude an employee at one of the businesses but was later caught hiding in the bushes outside.

An assailant punched someone in the face, causing injury between 1 and 1:30 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 500 block of Laurie Lane.

A burglar broke into a home by breaking two windows and stealing property on Aug. 18 in the 1100 block of Burtonwood Avenue.

A thief stole someone’s debit card information and made purchases between Aug. 12 and 17 in the 3000 block of Saffron Circle.

A shoplifter stole more than $400 in merchandise from Borders on W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard between 6:06 and 6:37 p.m. Aug. 23.

Property was stolen from a bedroom between July 25 and Aug. 20 in the 4200 block of Avenida Prado.

Arsonists caused $20,000 in property damage by starting fires around 12:39 a.m. Aug. 21 in the 2600 block of Regina Avenue.

A home was burglarized between 2:10 and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 3000 block of Westridge Circle.

A trespasser entered a garage around 5:40 p.m. Aug. 23 in the 1500 block of Charterwood Court.

Gang graffiti was placed on gas meters, causing $50 damage, on Aug. 18 or 19 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

On Aug. 23 or 24, gang graffiti was sprayed on restroom doors at Conejo Creek Park South on Janss Road. The damage was $600.

Gang graffiti was sprayed on an apartment complex’s wall between 2:45 and 3:20 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Graffiti was spray painted on a fence between Aug. 11 and 15 in the 2300 block of Calle Malvon.

A vandal damaged a window ($600 loss) at Supercuts on N. Moorpark Road on Aug. 23 or 24.

Property valued at more than $400 was stolen from Rusnak Porsche on E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard on Aug. 24 or 25.

Grand theft occurred on the following dates and places: Aug. 20 in the 1500 block of La Jolla Drive; Aug. 25 or 26 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Petty thefts occurred at the following locations: Between July 30 and Aug. 26 in the 100 block of Jensen Court; between 5:55 and 6:02 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 3800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard; and between 10 a.m. and noon Aug. 15 in the 2700 block of Agoura Road.

For allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana, a male, 22, was cited at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 400 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 53, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 100 block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 33, was cited for allegedly urinating in public at 3:27 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 100 block of S. Oak View Lane. The subject was also reportedly drinking in public.

The following subjects were cited for allegedly drinking alcohol in public: A male, 27, at 10:40 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue; a male, 42, at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard (subject allegedly gave police three different names and birthdays when asked for his information); and six males, between 26 and 33, at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 21 in the wash area south of Calle Zafiro.

Westlake

A thief stole $1,000 in cash from a 92-year-old woman’s purse between 2 and 2:45 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 3900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Rite Aid on Thousand Oaks Boulevard was burglarized between July 23 and Aug. 4. The crime was recently reported.

For allegedly throwing a wine bottle at her husband and causing injury, a female, 51, was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 1200 block of Landsburn Circle.

A female, 49, was cited for allegedly violating a domestic violence restraining order at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 1200 block of Landsburn Circle.

On suspicion of stealing merchandise in the 2700 block of Agoura Road, a male, 24, was arrested at Village Glen on Aug. 25.

A thief stole more than $400 from someone’s account at the Bank of America on Lindero Canyon Road between 8 and 8:15 a.m. Aug. 24.

Someone stole more than $400 from someone’s purse between 12:15 and 5 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

A burglar broke into four lockers and stole a small amount of cash from one of them between 8:20 and 9 a.m. Aug. 19 at Total Woman Gym and Day Spa on S. Westlake Boulevard.

A vehicle break-in occurred on Aug. 17 or 18 in the 200 block of Via Colinas.
