Sees a possible conflict of interest
Did Mr. Cal Johnson, Rick Lemmo and former City Attorney Mark Sellers object to having the Home Depot on the old Kmart site?
If the answer is yes, why do they want the City Council to approve TOBA’s (Thousand Oaks Boulevard Association) Specific Plan?
Prior to the November 2008 election, TOBA sponsored a forum. It’s unclear whether the general public was aware of the forum. The attendees included then-Mayor Jacqui Irwin and current Mayor Tom Glancy. There were 40 to 60 attendees with business interests, and a number of questions were asked and answered regarding “mixed use” on the boulevard. Also in attendance were Rick Lemmo, Mark Sellers and Cal Johnson.
Is there a potential conflict of interest here, whereby Glancy and Irwin would have to recuse themselves regarding a future hearing related to TOBA’s Specific Plan?
I encourage all of you to do your homework. Ramaul Rush Thousand Oaks
