The largest fundraisers for the nonprofit California Central Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association are its annual Memory Walks.

Last year more than 500 people participated in walks in Ventura County, raising more than $100,000, an association official said. Altogether the association has raised some $300,000 through Memory Walks held within its tricounty service area.

This year Memory Walks in Ventura County will be:

•West County, Sat., Oct. 3, Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard.

•East County, Sat., Oct. 17, Conejo Creek Park North, Thousand Oaks.
