A launch party for the new book “The Inner Game of Stress” and a book signing by all three authors will take place at 6 p.m. tonight, Aug. 27, at Westlake Village Professional Center, 1240 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

Complimentary wine, drinks, desserts, coffee and tray-passed appetizers will be served. The event will have music by The Kings of Denial.

The authors are local residents Tim Gallwey, Dr. John Horton and Dr. Edd Hanzelik.

Gallwey has written “The Inner Game of Tennis,” a new approach to learning and coaching.

The book explores the learning potential of the human body and the human tendency to get its way.

In 1992, Hanzelik and Horton formed a medical practice first in Malibu and then in Westlake Village. Their initial principles were to treat the whole person, to encourage the individual’s full participation in personal care and to trust the innate healing capacity of the human body. 

The doctors began to explore how to combine their own medical perspectives with “Inner Game” tools for the purpose of helping patients suffering from the effects of chronic stress.
