Newbury Park

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 40, at 12:45 a.m. Aug. 5 at Kimber Drive, west of Wendy Drive; and a male, 39, at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 12 in the 700 block of Amgen Court (subject allegedly crashed into a concrete pole on Amgen’s property).

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A female, 23, at 2:45 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 400 block of Knollwood Drive; a female, 37, at 9 a.m. Aug. 9 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (subject allegedly possessed two glass methamphetamine pipes with residue); and a female, 50, at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A female, 33, was arrested and charged with grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime at 6:15 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 1900 block of Newbury Road.

A laptop computer was stolen between 4:45 and 6:45 p.m. Aug. 4 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court.

A business was burglarized on Aug. 6 or 7 in the 3300 block of Kimber Road.

A vehicle light was broken on July 31 in the 600 block of Wendy Drive. The damage was less than $400.

A female, 47, was arrested and charged with trespassing at 12:50 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

For allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana, a male, 20, was cited at 3:25 a.m. Aug. 9 in the 1300 block of Newbury Road.

A male, 23, was cited on a loud noise violation at 3:10 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 200 block of Newbury Road.

A vehicle break-in occurred on Aug. 7 or 8 in the 2100 block of Newbury Road, and property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Aug. 9 or 10 in the 1100 block of Ramona Drive.

Thousand Oaks

Assailants used force to commit a first-degree robbery around 9:40 p.m. Aug. 12 at El Parque de La Paz.

A male, 47, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 11:57 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 3500 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 24, was arrested on a charge of having sexual intercourse with a minor at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 12 in the 1500 block of Holly Court.

A male, 59, was arrested and charged with battery and resisting arrest at 6:35 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library at 1401 E. Janss Road. The conflict started when the subject allegedly used force to push someone off a bench.

A felon killed a pigeon between 1 and 4 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 1600 block of Camino Olmo.

Two dogs were stolen from a backyard between 2 and 6 a.m. Aug. 3 in the 200 block of W. Gainsborough Road.

Thieves stole $4,370 worth of merchandise from the Gap store on W. Hillcrest Drive between noon and 12:45 p.m. Aug. 11.

A male, 41, was arrested and charged with driving a stolen vehicle and being under the influence of heroin at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 3900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The subject allegedly possessed a used syringe and a glass smoking pipe.

On suspicion of attempting to injure someone, a male, 20, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Erbes Road.

A male, 22, was cited for battery at 6:28 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Charged with possessing personal identification information on 10 or more people and attempting to fraudulently obtain prescription drugs, a male, 31, was arrested at 8:56 p.m. Aug. 10 at the southbound 101 Freeway and Lynn Road.

A male, 36, was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft Aug. 11 at East County Sheriff’s Station. The crimes allegedly occurred at 10 a.m. July 28 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road.

A male, 18, was arrested and charged with shoplifting at 3:18 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

For allegedly stealing items valued at $12.78, a male, 62, was cited at 8:51 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 28, was arrested and charged with vandalism and possessing a smoking device at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 13 in the 1500 block of Burning Tree Drive.

A female, 24, was arrested on suspicion of committing a petty theft with prior convictions at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 2000 block of Avenida de Los Arboles. A male, 47, was arrested on a similar charge at 11:20 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 22, was arrested and charged with petty theft at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 1700 block of Moorpark Road.

On suspicion of shoplifting, a male, 18, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. Aug. 10 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Aug. 9 or 10 in the 2000 block of Los Feliz Drive; Aug. 12 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; around 1 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (attempted); between 1:45 and 3 p.m. July 29 in the 1300 block of N. Moorpark Road; between 6:30 and 8:12 p.m. Aug. 7 in the first block of Rolling Oaks Drive; and around 8 p.m. Aug. 7 in the first block of Rolling Oaks Drive.

A car was vandalized ($1,000 in damage) Aug. 10 or 11 in the 1600 block of Valley High Avenue.

A vehicle was vandalized ($3,000 in damage) Aug. 5 in the 1100 block of Brookview Street.

A burglar broke into PTS Home and Office Furniture store on Conejo Ridge Avenue by smashing a glass window and attempting to remove property around 4:30 a.m. Aug. 7.

Graffiti was applied to Los Cerritos Middle School between Aug. 3 and 6. The damage was $350.

Gang graffiti was found in a men’s restroom at Mann Theatres at Janss Marketplace on Aug. 9 or 10.

A thief stole property delivered to someone’s home between 2:18 and 3:30 p.m. July 29 in the 1000 block of Whitecliff Road.

A business window was broken on Aug. 8 or 9 in the 3100 block of Willow Lane.

A trespasser entered a home between Aug. 4 and 8 in the 800 block of Calle Tatalpa.

A male, 53, was cited for allegedly violating terms of his parole—he isn’t allowed in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut on 75 S. Rancho Road—at 1 p.m. Aug. 7 in the first block of S. Rancho Road.

A male, 29, was cited on a loud noise violation at 12:05 a.m. Aug. 8 in the 2400 block of Springbrook Street.

The following subjects were cited for allegedly drinking alcohol in public: A male, 58, at 8:05 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue; a male, 27, at 2:57 p.m. Aug. 5 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue; a female, 30, at 10:05 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; two males, 48 and 34, at 1:20 p.m. Aug. 6 in the 500 block of N. Moorpark Road; and a male, 47, at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 8 in the 100 block of S. Oak View Lane.

A vehicle break-in occurred on Aug. 7 or 8 in the 500 block of Via Colinas. A similar crime occurred on Aug. 8 in the 2900 block of Winding Lane, where a thief stole an XM Satellite radio and a carton of cigarettes.

Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 30 in the 100 block of Promenade Way.
